Terms and Conditions
1. Rules and Regulation
1.1 – The organising committee reserves the right to change the time, date and/or venue and format of the event, in whole or in part, without liability to participants.
1.2 – Participants agree to abide by the rules, instructions and regulations displayed from time to time by the organising committee.
1.3 – All selected participants will be attending all sessions.
1.4 – Participants will receive a Participants’ Info Pack containing a brief overview of the competition.
1.5 – All participants are obliged to attend all the explicit arrangements that have been done by the organising committee, including the Pre-Event sessions.
1.6 – Participants agree to be actively involved in all the sessions and activities.
1.7 – The organising committee reserves the exclusive right throughout the event to interview and/or photograph and/or film participants during the event and to the unlimited use in all current and future media of any means of identification of participants.
2. Attendance and Withdrawal Policy
2.1 – Shortlisted applicants must be available to attend both days of the event, as well as the pre-event and will be required to participate fully in all tasks assigned to them during the event.
2.2 – Withdrawal of participation is strictly prohibited, save for medical or other legitimate reasons, subject to the approval of the MPPC organising committee.
2.3 – In the event where participation has to be withdrawn due to medical reasons or any other reasons approved by the MPPC committee, the applicant shall give notice at least a week prior to the date of the event and provide supporting documentation to the MPPC committee.
2.4 – As mentioned above, the attendance of each team member will contribute to the overall team’s performance.
2.5 – In the event that a team member is unable to make it on the second day of the event, the MPPC organising committee will work to accommodate and support the remaining team members – provided reasons for absence are legitimate.
2.6 – The certification of participation will not be given to participants who fail to attend both days of the event.
3. Data Protection
3.1 – The following details and documents will be collected from the applicants:
- Personal information: Name, Email Address, Phone Number, Name of College/University, Programme of Study, Year of Study;
- Applicant’s latest curriculum vitae (CV);
- Emergency Contact Information: Name of Emergency Contact, Phone Number of Emergency Contact, Relationship of Applicant with Emergency Contact
3.2 – All the data collected will be stored in a restricted Google Drive account which will only be accessible by authorised personnel subject to ICMS Data Protection Policy.
3.3 – The MPPC organising committee collects and uses the personal information provided by the applicants during the application process for the purpose of administering the event.
3.4 – The MPPC organising committee collects and uses the curricular vitae (CV) for the purpose of facilitating the shortlisting process.
3.5 – The MPPC organising committee collects and uses the emergency contact information for the purpose of communicating with the emergency responder provided in the event of an emergency situation. The emergency contact information shall not be disclosed to third parties without the personal consent of the applicant.
3.6 – The MPPC organising committee may share the applicant’s personal information and CV to participating companies of MPPC.

4. Usage of Virtual Platforms
4.1 – ICMS is not liable for any delays, delivery failures, or any other loss or damage resulting from the transfer of data over communications networks and facilities, including the Internet.
4.2 – The participant acknowledges that any of the platforms used may be subjected to reasonably acceptable limitations, delays and other problems inherent in the use of such communications facilities.
4.3 – The participant is solely responsible for procuring and maintaining a strong Internet connection. ICMS will not be liable for any problems, conditions, delays, delivery failures and/or loss or damage arising from or relating to the participant’s network connections or caused by the Internet.
4.4 – The participant agrees to use the virtual platform in compliance with the law.
4.5 – The participant is not permitted to share links provided by ICMS to any third party except as permitted herein or in Agreement.
4.6 – ICMS reserve the right to refuse entry to the event or to ask participants to leave if:
- The participant fails to comply with the Terms and Conditions of the event.
- The participant attempts to participate in the event in a manner that may cause disturbance/discomfort to other participants, and/or is inappropriate and unprofessional.
5. Winners and Awards
5.1 – Prizes will be awarded to teams in the First, Second and Third placing – irrespective of the sub-theme their policy pertains to.
5.2 – The decision made by the judges will be final and non-appealable.
6. Miscellaneous
10.1 – By submitting an application, the applicant hereby confirms that all information that he/she submits is accurate, current and complete.
10.2 – Should there be any issues raised that the information submitted by the applicant is false, misleading and contrary to fact, the application will be rejected with immediate effect.
10.3 – The date and agenda of the event are subject to changes by the MPPC organising committee.
10.4 – The MPPC organising committee may vary or add to the terms and conditions of MPPC.
